The North East Waste Forum provides a range of waste education projects & resources for the community, schools and businesses of the north coast. These projects aim to promote simple and practical ways of adopting waste-less lifestyles.

The Green House – a mobile waste education resource, promoting waste avoidance at local primary schools and community events.

The Students Using Sustainable Strategies (SUSS) Project is a regional partnership project, which aims to give students the knowledge and skills to implement sustainable environmental practices in their schools through a 2 day Forum involving workshops and training sessions and a post-Forum school support program.

Second Hand Saturday – "The biggest garage sale on the North Coast"

Landfill Open Days – providing the local community with an opportunity to learn more about the Waste Management Facilities in their Council area.

Eco-friendly Youth Project – funded through the NSW Environmental Trust, the project is working with youth centres and organisations to develop environmental policies and support the development of environmental programs.

North Coast Environmental Education Reference Group – established and co-ordinated by the NEWF, the group supports environmental educators working in the region. On-line waste education resources:
